I have an older manual jackplate from them....no if ands or buts....definitely from them that has a worm screw in the middle that I was going to order new bearings for so I could sell the plate and the dude wants to sit there and argue with me about whether or not they made this plate. Unbelievable...everytime I call that place I'm sorry.

....would be for them to suddenly have a 1-800 number for "technical service and support"!! They'd have to put the full staff on alert to handle the complaints.
I spent a ton of money with them on a dyno and went round and round for over a year trying to get it to function properly. I finally put it away and tried to forget about it. The few times it did work it was pretty neat...and one of these days I may break it out and try again. The water-brake part of the system was fine, it was the electronics and the recording device that sucked.
I use my hydraulic dyno almost daily and it has been flawless for many years.
I have a Land and Sea hydraulic jackplate (minus the lift motor) that I'd like to sell. Any offers?

Where is the worm screw located at in the plate? Are you talking about the model 500? I just sold mine last year with a rusted up pump. It was pretty simple, the hydraulic cylinder was slid over an aluminum peg in the plate and the other end was bolted to the motor mount. Whatcha got?
I never had any trouble other than the motor filling with water and rusting.

I have a plate with a worm screw in the middle the woks it up on down with a ratchet. I'm getting ready to sell it but the bearings are tired so I wanted to make sure someone could get replacements before I sold it. I called before to get new studs for the thing and of course they didn't tell me they moved up to 9/16 plate holes so there wicked expensive studs wouldn't work for me (no tap). Other than that the plate was great and very easy to adjust. LF

Don't feel bad Dave your not alone. I spent 695 for a new pump for my plate and the motor leaks where they droped it on one end and the o-ring slot is deeper than the o-ring on the other

On everything I've ever purchased there was letting me know I couldn't return the stuff if I was mistaken. Some days I wish I had a business that was so good you could treat customers like garbage.

David ,
I think if you try a Rapid Jack from Chuck Goodman's Hydro Dynamics you'll love it and Chuck is a sweetheart to deal with !!!Not like the Land and Sea people , I've heard nightmares about them.....
