Looking for a prop that doesn't have a lot of Rake (Bow Lift), Currently have a Raker 20 and a Ron Hill 22 running this on a Ski boat with Crossflow 235 .The Raker is slower out of the hole with a load behind it. The Ron Hill 22 pulls harder and seems to pull me up faster, less slippage as well (Of course).. Time to pull skiier out of the hole still poor.

Would a 19 make much difference? Motor has plenty of torque when on plane. I can make the Raker slip a ton after I am on Plane if I hit it hard (Even with motor tucked under).

Would like to find a prop that will allow motor to spool up to reach power curve, and yet still grab well once underway.

Dealing with altitude issues as well, I do have the 638/639 heads on motor. (This did help some)..

Both props are vented Was trying to purchase a Land and Sea but Everyone wants to sell them for more than they are worth (L&S no longer supports or makes these props)

Venting holes on the Raker are almost 1/2"
Venting Holes on the Ron Hill are 17/64"

Could I increase the size of the vent holes on the Ron Hill to improve hole shot? Would this harm prop when under way or when making sharp turns?

Any other prop recommendations or brand of prop and pitch to try?

Thanks, SRP71

Merc high5 in 19P with hub adaptor..... enough holeshot to rip arms off... but may not get you the top end you need if you barefoot...unless you can turn 6400 RPM...
