Hey Kim, are you thinking of going black? To go black and jet at the same time seems a little radical to me.

Why not look at a strong 2.5 liter Mercury prop engine? You could increase your power and upgrade brands at the same time. :D

By the way, how is the engine saga going? Have you checked with Palley's in Saskatoon? We need to get you back in business before summer. :)

Excellent. I'm interested to hear what you think of Perfection Marine.

What's wrong with your jack plate? Are you looking for more setback? If you want to sell your current plate, let me know. I'm looking for one. We might work something out.

By the way, it isn't that ridiculous looking. At least it's black. :D

I'll let you know about PM, Jackplate here in Lloyd., they told me the motor is shot...so I thought about getting a whole new one. I don't have any setback except for the jackplate--4"...If I buy new you can have this one..let you know...........

It would make a terrific air seeder, wouldn't it? :D

What does "shot" mean? As I recall you cooked it when your waterpump went bad or something went wrong with your cooling system. I'm curious about what is required to put your old engine back into commission. I suppose OMC 235 blocks aren't that hard to come by but I would imagine you've got forged pistons in there, etc. I hope you really trust these guys. It sounds like you've gotten some pretty wild repair estimates if you were considering an all new engine.

Take care,

Tom
