Only mod I know you can do to em is pull em off and put fatory heads where they were. From looking at em, I don't think a witch doctor could make em cool right, and I've NEVER seen a set run successfully on a lake boat. Some drag racers claim to have run em without bad results, but since there's no performance advantage to a stock head cut to the same CC's, why risk a powerhead?

Raceman iz az rite az he iz UGLY!!!...I experimented wit a set ov thoze heads, and the experiment ended with NO practical reason for use'in them over a stock head...Dual plugs sound good, but in fact juss cause ya to purchase an extra set ov plugs, and extra set ov coils, and the Mercury packs kan't fire the extra coils hard enuff to do U any good...If lookz mad HP, they would be worth sum, but it don't...Tha heet problem iz a problem U kan't correct in theze heads without take'in away tha structural integrity ov tha head....
The only thang I've dun with the heads that have reely worked iz make hone'in plates out ov them!!!...Sorry ta buss ya bubble, but I personally thank they are purdy junk!!!
Now, I have heered ov sum SLOMC boyz that luv them, but az fer mercs...well :(

I have run them on OMC's and had pretty good results. First thing is they are solid billit so they are like a big heat sink and the instuctions tell you to move the temp sensors from the head. Other than that they work good, The OMC ignition isn't as strong as the Merc so the extra plug will burn more gas. You have to richen the carbs up to get the performance gain out of them. With twin combustion chambers and more gas = more power. You may have to play with the wiring of the coils to get them to fire just right. There are 2 ways to hook them up parrallel or series I don't remeber which worked best for me. But you will kinow when it wrong. One motor i had would have fire behind the reeds til I rewired it. They use the coils from the Intruder OMC motors so you have an investment there to, besides the price of the heads. All in all they helped the performance of the motors I tried them on..

i have alredy ran the heads have complete setup with coils and it runs great.
no thermostats and a 1/8" restricter out of each head. when i ran for 2 hours i could still hold my hand on them with no problem. but i no there problems and there is no reel benifit, just checking if they could be reworked and be a great head. sounds like it is not worth the risk.
thanks for the replys.
thanks,
roy
