MC-1 Question

what year were the MC-1's made and what mid section do they bolt up to?

what year 12" mids do these go to?

will it bolt up to a 15" mid if the shaft is made to length and if so what year mid do I need to use?

The MC in MC1 stands for Mercruiser, which was their original application. They were factory installed on the Twister (red stripe) and Twister1 (blue stripe in 70 through about 72 or 73. I don't believe the factory ever installed one on a T2. As far as 12", there was never a factory application for an MC1 on a 12" (T2X, T3, Champ type) mid. The shafts were either for the Mercruiser, a short stub with fine splines, or the 15" mid. Anything else is a modification.

They are direct bolt ons for an inline pattern from that time frame and on the Twisters and T2's with the factory adapter. The first engine I ever put one on was a 1500XS.
