XB2002 with 1999 225 Pro Max. For 1/4 drag. Ran 24" Chopper but ran out of prop at 1000ft. Should I go to 26"??????????? Should the motor be below the pad????? Really the main question is which prop??? And any other suggestions.

My opinion would be a 26 pitch yamaha drag prop about even with the pad w/9" of setback for starters.... Don't worry, someone with exact experience on your combination will chime in...

Pull the limiter and run a tight 24P ( Ronnie Gilbert) or run a loose 26 (JC's) Yamaha. The 225 likes more setback then the 260 . I'd run 10" and install a large inflated rubber ball inside the jackplate as well as cover the area between the 2 side sponsonlike areas with a sheet of 1/16" aluminum to help the holeshot. With a 260 I'd say 9" but I'd still fill the area below the plate and add floatation. Run 1/4" below to 1/8" below at the very highest not dead even. Also it helps to trim up at the big end when you feel the bow falling slightly.
