225 optimax more hp ?

I just wanted to know if there was some addons or things i can change on the 99 225opti to get a bit or speed apart from diffrent props and jackplate hight.

Any help would be great.

You might want to give Sean Hill at CDI a call. He has some experience with this. He can recurve the ECM and I imagine there are ways to duplicate what Merc is doing on the 250 high performance optimax. They run higher fuel pressure and air pressure and probably a bit more compression as well. The fuel curve in the ECM has to match the physical changes you make.
I want to get into this a bit in the future with a 3.0 litre Optimax project I am currently working on.
