Finished up the installation of the Sea Star Pro on my Daytona over the weekend. I wouldn't call it easy, but far from real tough.
Mounting the helm was easy and the Pro Trim switch mounts very nicely on the helm. Mounting the rear cylinder was a chore (I mounted it 4 times), my 1986 2.4 200 Merc has a very thick tiller (almost looks like it has an added piece welded on top of the factory tiller). So this posed alittle problem with the bolt lenth, got one at the local hardware store but still had to shim alittle with washers on the topside. Had to cut a 1" wide by 2" deep channel on the bottom side of the port cowl to clear the tiller bolt. Very easy, hack saw and a file, fits like a glove.
Once that was done it was time to route hoses, I did this alone so it was a pain but still not that bad. Even bleeding the system with my wife wasn't that bad, not what I expected but not bad. The air & hydrauic fluid spraying out of the bleeder all over the place was a suprise but after covering everything with newspaper we got it done.
The directions are OK but leave out quit a bit of usefull info, bottom line It works awsome, can't wait to drive it and really try it out.
