Anybody have one?......They seem pretty impressive to me power wise this year. Just wondering if anybody knew anything to look out for on them or anything bad about em.

Well, I have been looking at the 4.0s in the frontiers also. I have a 2000 with 94000 miles on the last gen v6 (3.3L). It runs good. the way I see it, here are the pros and cons of the new motor.

pro:
DOHC 4.0L v6
Variable Valve timing
If the past is any indication, it should be very reliable.
good HP
Ok torque for pulling under 20' boats
no problems with pushrods
will run stuck on 3000rpm all day hauling a boat, with no problem.

cons: (I am running into the maintinance probs with my motor, and eventually will affect the new ones)
V6- could be a V8
needs to have the piss revved out of it to make HP
needs to have the piss revved out of it to make TQ
Revs 2800@70 mph
Complicated, and hard to get information on
every Part on the truck is expensive as hell... even the "generic" brands.
buying forign vehicles supports other countrys.

Hell just sell me the motor out of the GTO......I'll put it in the Silverado. That ought to do it....
