Can some one lead me in the right direction, please.
i have a 300 pro max, i took it out yesterday.everything seemed fine at the dock. water peeing out the "pee hole" good steady streem like always.i went for a short ride and noticed that the water was only "trickling " out the pee hole. i had good water presure, no over heating. didnt want to risk it,so back on the trailer she went.
the first thing i checked was to make sure the "pee hole " wasnt clogged, i unhooked the line and blew through it. nope not clogged i could hear the air blowing into the center section.
where and what else should i check? i replaced the water impeller and basket about two months before i winterized it lasat november
thanks
mike

I have gone through 2 brand new water pumps on my 300 PM from reving it slightly on the hose. Right after I reved it, no water came out the pee hole. I couldn't believe it. For some reason, the pumps do not like any restriction. I couldn't see anything wrong when I replaced the impeller on either one of them. If something was caught in the pickup for even a few seconds, it might have taken the pump out.

I have the same thing happen. I watched my temp gauge and the water pressure gauge. I was told that the engine piss water at the bottom of the mid-section also. I never over-heated or lost water pressure also. I figured the tube got clogged, and cleared it self. Chuck.

Do you all have the hose attachment at the left side of middle of the pan connecting the top cowling? Chuck.

That is what I would do. The pump is not working for some reason. For 35-40 bucks, you might as well replace the pump. Pull the lower unit off and carefully replace the water pump. Be sure and use the tool to set the shaft seal spacing, it is in the instruction sheet. Not sure if it makes a difference though.

I would run some weedwacker line between the low water pickup and the water pump to make sure it is clear.
