i am trying to get this boat together and keep running into little problems.i am installing the lightweight 1 piece cover and when i went to put the base pan on it was hitting the top of the bracket for the steering cylinder.is it ok to mount the bracket on the bottom of the tiller arm instead of the top? i looked at it and noticed it can be done if i grind away the casting mark that hangs down a little. if anyone has done this or encounted the same problem let me know what works best. thanks, paul

i grinded it down and moubted under arm and it worked fine w/plenty of clearence.its easier to put bolt in from bottom before putting retaining ring on bottom of swivel pin cause you will not fit the bolt.
