For any of you guys taht are listed as exibitors just go to the Right side of the front lobby and thell them you are with Carroton KY.Even if you are not needed at that time at the booth you have free admission for the duration of the show.
We have had some real interest so far.We have a T.V. blaring
the Jasper races and the Rumble.A couple of ModVp races are also
showing. This attracts the Hy-Po guys real fast! For what started as a couple of guys shooting the sh.. this thing has really taken off! I really havent done much work on this event but Speedracer
has! And Instigator is a man on a mission! Like him or not ,(everybody likes him rite?) he is a Great promotor for the sport!
And the folks from Carrolton (Robin) are great! It like having a paid publicist for free! These folks are great to be around and if you have an idea they do the work, now thats my kinda outfit! Just sit on my ass and watch it happen:p
RUMORS: Monty wants to attend and is working out the details.
How about it Alan?Your attendence would make it complete!
Tony said he would pick you up at the Airport and you could stay
at his house! You could use the Lavey!I could sit in back!SEE YA

Just back from night #2.
The joint was jumpin tonight!!
Saw and met Chris H of Allison fame, also Gary of 22' Talon twin Merc fame.
Here's some inside poop they both made me promise not to tell:eek:
Chris has a power head being finished as we speak to make his scarry fast Alli, FASTER!!!
Gary said he saw all the Nitrous at Rumble 1 and has a 300 HP system waiting at home:D
OB-1 called to say that he was shopping for tunnel boats, and maybe with OMC power :0
Dave, your video was a huge hit!!
We have an 8' banner in front of our both with fliers on the counter and everyone just walks by???
We hit play on your video, and it's like a magnet!!!
People stood in line to ask questions!!
I bet I gave out 40 or 50 fliers tonight.
And to KK, local attractions in case you decide to come visit.
Two pubs across the street from the show and the "Hustler" store is right around the corner;)
Donna and I are probably getting a room next Saturday and staying down there. (2 hrs each way is going to get old)
Anyway, Thanx to the all the volunteers and offers of help and places to stay durring the show.

Guys:
Could you give us some specifics on this deal. Some of us from
TN may make the tow. Carrollton, KY, Right? When? How's the
water? I assume you're racing on the "little muddy" (KY River),
not the "big muddy" (Ohio River).
Accomodations? Know how to get there. My family is from N. KY,
Warsaw and Owenton. Used to go Warsaw in the summer to stay
with ole' Granny. They had outboard hydro races at their little
summer festival. A long time ago. Boats were dugouts with
1 guy paddling (Limited) or two guys paddling (Unlimited).

Dave,

I completely forgot about the "Rack"! I'm sittin' here with a big smile right now thinkin' about it (them)!

We probably drove by your house yesterday on our way to hit the show. Ate at BW3 on the way down.

Don't know when I'll be back by Harrison, so I'll send you a 10 spot for a tape.

BTW, do I get a finders fee for the "Rack" point?

Steve, we would like to see a bunch of folks from Tenn at the Rumble! We got Canadians and floridians,Heck why not Tennessee..ans? the Big muddy is usually in real good shape by August. We were a bit short on organization last year but I dont know if thats a bad thing or not.If you ask any body that was there, they had a blast! Just imagine the folks at Jasper all grudge
racing,Partying and just having a good ol laid back time!It was just great being around all of the equipment and bench racing and
such.Come on up and have some fun.

Chose the weekend I did for next year because a couple of the ODBA guys told me they don't usually have a race scheduled in early Ausgust.
This years Rumble I had a couple people say they would have rather had more sheduled events and organization.
Had at least as many people say the thing they liked the most was---------------no shedule!!
Go figure??
Next year will be more regiminted only because we have so much that we want to do.
Thank God for LT, Speedracer, Robin at Carrollton and everyone else thats helping us prepare for next year.
Donna and I were so busy at this years event that when we saw LT's video he brought to the Cinci show, it was like being at the Rumble for the first time!!
Thanx again for everyones help for next years event.
IT WILL BE HUGE!!!

Instigator:
ODBA plans to race in Clarksville, TN this year. Hopefully not on
the same weekend, because we're going to make your event
otherwise. KDBA usually has a race in there too, but again no
schedules yet.
Thanks,
Steve Z

Things were kinda slow at the booth tonite so I went out and did what i do best!B.S.
I got to talking to Gary of Delta props about a $40000 prop inspection machine. Its alot like a C.M.M. with a special program
for checking rake, pitch ect.ect.this thing will do an extensive print out of specs. And you can enter a "class" of prop and the areas that are out of tolerance will show up on the screen with different colors for the amount out of spec! Wild machine. The machine will then go back over the prop to "mark" the area that needs attention.
Any way these "BatBoats" that most of us have seen with the Volvo penta duoprops are made in Cincinnati?Go figure? They are made by a company called rychart (or somthin) that makes the boats for a racing circut of the same name. This racing class is somthing like Nascar as the motors are all blueprinted to certain specs for equal output. They even tak it a step further and all the boats must run the same blue printed props as everyone else! So all the props come with the two page inspection sheet.
According to Gary (Delta prop) these guys are running over 100mph.He seems to think that this Rykhart guy might like to bring one of these winged machines down to play and promote his Racing program. Instigator this ones your call,I didnt have the
correct website address but he said to he would take a stack for his booth (he is on the main floor). So if you guys approve, look him
up and deliver the flyers.
I have another story about a 304hp mechanicaly fuel injected (his own design)2.4 Merc from 1987!!!!!!!This is from the old Drag Racer at Bethel Marine. His story of his adventures with Land&Sea and the big wigs at Merc is worthy of a feature article.A guy that works with him has a Evolution Marine 1996 3.0 on the bench, but its not for sale
:( SEEYA>>> Dave
