Have been avoiding computer land to get some stuff done.
I hatched an egg a few months ago and so far the cowl is growing pretty well.
Really this is just the plug and HOPEFULLY is almost done.
Then the rubber mold and then the actual cowl.
Plus the pan.... and on and on.
Mostly the design comes from function and not stylixed.... too much :D
Mininum size was attempted and the swept back top means the ECU has to either replaced or relocated under the horn, starter just clears ( I hope) as does the flywheel and head corners.
Bulge at the front and sides is the cold air induction sealed, kind off to the air horn and lets engine noise out the sides- instead of the front.
Bulges at the top where to relieve the big blocky apperance as was the tiny bulge running the length of the bottom, both do serve to strengthen the thing though.
Not shown is the crest that will be cast from clear plastic. Runs the whole length of the top front to back and looks a bit like a lobster tail.
This is 2 things.
An anchor light
Air induction for cooling any building heat under the cowl. The flywheel is the pump. (Tesla blower style)
The anchor l
Oh and the rigging hose part is where the cowl breaks, these stay on the pan.
