1991 2.5 bridgeport, will not start, engine turns over but won't fire. Newbie with this outboard stuff, Is there a choke on this motor?

is it getting fuel? is the motor an EFI or carb ?
do you have spark?

has electric fuel pump, will check pressure and spark, i purchased the boat in Late December, it started right up upon inspection and again 8 hours later when I got it home. Been siting for 2 months and won't start.

is the motor an efi or carb model?
if it is an efi model has the battery been hooked up to the motor the entire time?

It's a carb model. I believe there are 3 carbs on it.

Your motor probably has an enrichner valve on it. Depending on the controls you have you probably have to push in on the ignition key as you turn over motor. My bridgeport required choke to start it cold. You can check valve by having cover off motor and depressing key. You should be able to hear it click.

Trim the motor all the way down and try it.

Thanks , I held the key in for 5 seconds and she started right up, fiqures now it going to snow again
