I bought a seastar system off the board for a friend that fell in love with mine a while back. Anyway, we installed it, bled it thorughly and it seemed fine on the trailer from what we could tell but when we got good enough weather to try it out we found out otherwise. The problem is after you get up and running on the pad you have to be constantly turning the wheel to the left to go straight. Something is definately wrong... It only seems to do it when it has a good amount of touque on it. The seals on the ram are leaking slightly but i don't think that is causing this problem. Any info appreciated greatly.
Dave.

If the seals on the ram are leaking its junk! also there are seals check balls and springs in the helm that control pressure. My old tilt helm non pro helm did the same thing. when i took it apart i found one spring collaspsed If your gonna run seastar you need the pro helm, pro hoses and pro cylinder. ITS YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE!.....just my opinion

Our warehouse sent a Pro system out with a standard helm by mistake once, and it acted exactly the same.

The end caps and seals can be replaced with a kit from Merc that comes with a spanner wrench. I'm sure he's gonna change them also... It is a pro system. We're pretty sure its in the helm. I've also heard of many rams leaking with no affect in the systems performance.
