First of all, it's NEVER supposed to snow here. If I wanted snow I'd move to New York, well maybe not, I forgot about them having the Hillary curse, but I'd move somewhere North. My grass hadn't even turned dormant by Christmas this year and it was short sleeves a couple of days last week, now this. It's only supposed to throw a few flakes every 5 years or so, so the kids who've never seen it know what it is, but it's NEVER EVER supposed to accumulate here. First of all, every driver around here goes into absolute brain death. They've got to get out and ride and look because it's somehow different snow across town than in their own yard. The roads look like demolition derby and there aren't enough wreckers to haul em all in. People go to Kroger and buy every loaf of bread, every bottle of water and all the toilet tissue at the sign of one measley snowflake.

Hahahaha, some fool just rode by with snow chains (where the hell did he find them around here?) on an SUV and the roads are completely clear.................no accumulation yet on anything but grass and trees. I hope a cop gives um a ticket for road damage, or better yet stupidity.

We've already had 4 or 5 nights with temps below freezing here. Isn't that enough? I'M READY FOR SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not up here...They usually run thier cars into ditches and trees then walk home...Or they just leave thier cars in the road and the snowplows can't get thru.....:p

I've been waiting for it to snow for a month. Spent two grand pumping up my sled (150hp wasn't enough) and it just sits in the garage. Well I guess it still runs, can't say that for my SnoPro went up to the "UP" last week and burnt a piston.

Happy Trails

I did hear about this blonde up there in Nu Yawk that got a note in tha mailbox that said "snow plows coming tomorrow, park all cars on odd numbered side of street so they can pass". So she parked her car on the odd numbered side. The next day she got a note that said "snow plows coming tomorrow, park all cars on the even numbered side of street so they can pass". So she parked her car on the even side. The next day she got a third note that said "snow plows coming tomorrow, park all cars on......." and the note was torn and she couldn't read the bottom. So she told her husband, "I don't know what to do now". He said, "well why don't you just leave it in the garage tomorrow?"

If you guys are in the mood for blonde jokes...

A blonde went into a world wide message center to send a message to her mother overseas. When the man told her it would cost $300, she exclaimed "But I don't have any money. I'd do ANYTHING to get a message to my mother." The man arched an eyebrow (as we would expect). "Anything?" he asked. "Yes, yes, anything," the blonde promised. "Well then, just follow me," said the man as he walked towards the next room.

The blonde did as she was told and followed the man. "Come in and close the door," the man said. She did. He then said "Now get on your knees." She did. "Now take down my zipper." She did. "Now go ahead ... take it out....", he said. She reached in and grabbed it with both hands ... then paused.

The man closed his eyes and whispered, "Well... go ahead." The blonde slowly brought her mouth closer to it ..and while holding it close to her lips, tentatively said........... "Hello, mom can you hear me?"

HAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHA, snow.

I woke up on sat morning, and found my little Audi TT burred in 2 1/2 feet of snow ( if I can ever figure out how to post a picture.......), and it made it out 2 miles of cottage road (quattro and 4 snows helped), and you guys are complaining.
Imagine too much snow to snowmobile. And Q-Shot, the pipes heads and Rad Valves just showed up in my office 20min ago, I am trying to get to 160hp after having 185 I am really hurting.

Up here in the frozen near north of Ontario it was minus 20 F. last night. We've only got about 4 feet of snow however which didn't show up until the week of Christmas. I was kayaking the week before. That's a first for this area in 15 years.
I'd really like to feel sorry for you Southern boys but...

Only thing is I'm currently sledless...Most of the lakes are still open however, so there should be some fools going swimming any time soon.
Where in the Muskoka's do you travel to?

Thanks for getting my snow. I don't want any just now.

Some of you forget that when it snows it pays, at least for me. So a good snowin this year is a good OT check.
Cold? instead of turning on the AC I turn on the furnace, its not cold. Climate controlled.
Outdoor smoke breaks take less time, 1 minute for the winter compared to 10-15 in the summer, but thats wind not cold.

This spring when youse guys down in them parts are complaining that its 60 I will be in my shorts enjoying the heat wave!

BTW
Buffalo (which got most of my snow) recieved 75% of their yearly average alottment. Last year they were snowed in and now this happens to them.

I am on Lake Muskoka, but travel wherever the trails take me, we too have yet to have our lakes freeze, which makes the riding a little difficult.

The Muskoka area is definitely beautiful, I'm actually located just outside of Sundridge, home of Lake Bernard-the largest freshwater lake in the world without an island. At one time there was boat racing on it( A.P.B.A), we still have snowmobile drags in the winter.
I've actually hooked up with an older gentleman who raced on it who was associated with Hal Kelly, we are discussing getting some grass roots racing on the go again.

.....are you saying you went from 160hp from 185hp? "WHY"

I turned my ZRT800 into a ported ZRT900 with pipes and head work. Should be in the 185+ HP range.

There's never to much snow with a longtrack!!

If you southern folks think the snow and cold is bad now, wait until this ever-growing menance of our current global warming period ends!

T-Rex, the swamp will soon be a glacier and Raceman, you might want Q-shot to save that ZRT800 he's building for you because it will go real fast through the deepest snow.

Balzy and I will probably just stay up here in Wisconsin and make money cyro'ing parts in our backyards for Jay Smith, who will be sending most of his motors to Australian customers.;)

Q-Shot, last year I was runningn a XCR with a Hot to Go kit on it, it was supposed to be around 185hp, this year I am riding an XC 800. I just got the pipes, Boysen Rad Valves, air box, gear, weights, heads and my Racepak for it. So you can see I went backwards a little.

Three of my friends got the AC Cross Country----what a beautiful sled. Now if you think I went backwards, one of the owners od the cross countrys had a Thundercat with a Hooper kit, it pulled 210hp on the dyno, it was an animal.

Let it snow

Well...........now I understand, I thought you were working on the same sled.

We finally have enough ice on the lake so today is the day to to dial in the ZRT. I also have a Avenger III and you can bet I'll be keeping a close eye on it.

Happy trails!

Relax Raceman, I have a team of engineers designing a snowshovel for you using a clamshell cowling a XL driveshaft a starter rope and a lot of duct tape (AKA Red Green). All of the above items are useless anyway. As soon as I get the blueprints I'll send them down to ya.
