View Full Version : 2.4 Bridge Port WON'T Run

JUST PUT TOGETHER A 2.4 BRIDGEPORT HAD ONE NEW SLEEVE INSTALLED ON #5. MOTOR IS ALL TOGETHER. GO TO START MOTOR RUNS FOR 3 MINS. TURN OFF TO CHECK PLUGS FOR OIL, OR WATER. ALL CHECK OUT FINE, WENT TO START BACK UP, MOTOR FIRES ONCE, THEN JUST TURNS OVER. TRY TODAY MOTOR RUNS FOR 2 MINS, CHECK PLUGS, THEN SAME PROBLEM ALL PLUGS FIRE CHECKED TRIGGER, AND STATOR ALL WORKING. ANY HELP FOR PROBLEM :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

Carb or efi? Sounds like a fuel problem.

EFI, HAVE GAS / OIL MIX ON PLUGS, FUEL PRESSURE AT 36-39. :confused:

i had a bad ecu that did the same thing. see if someone in your area has one you can try.

If you find out it is the ECU I have a good A-7 you can have for $150 shipped. If it doesn't work perfect I will take it back minus shipping. Thanks, Dean

Perform a compression check when the engine just spins.

Check over the ecu, switch box, stator ground wires. Temporarily disconnect the charging regulator from the rectifier.

Where is the charging regulator located :confused:

Rear top of block, about 1.5" square, two terminal studs, one red and one yellow wire connected to it. These wires go the rectifier, top left of switch boxes. 16A charging system??

thank you for info, gave it a try this monring. need to break in moter before SWANNIE next week !!!!
