Is that a contender. I recently picked up a 72 carlson contender its 141/2ft and has a different transom and the bottom in back is flat in middle with a inch or so sponson on each side. Deck looks same and my steering is on the other side. Rick

I am real close to Cumming and can take a look at the boat of you want. They also have a old Allison bass boat there that looks like someone took apart there back porch to put a floor in it. I was going to go by there last weekend but was too busy. Let me know

I'd like to see some decent pics. If it was a little closer I'd probably have already gone and looked at it.

Thanks for your efforts on this. I'd like to see someone get this piece of History.
I already have a restored 16' but with 6 boats I'm out of room!

Had a 14 1/2 foot carlson contender bought new in 1967 with 80 hp evinrude. Boat was good for about 52 mph clocked by marine police. Had a board down middle under glass which cracked. Had to resourcinol glue & screw second board on top but worked just fine. Sold it for $350 in 1994.
