get a bobs jack either manual or hydrolic... 7.5 " of height adjustment and mount the engine to the highest holes on the bracket as possible to get the propshaft as high as possible... as you will probably end up running total transom height in neighbor hood of 27-29" to get it high enough to run correctly... currently 10 " taller than the current transom... so.. 7.5 on jack + 3 1/4 on engine bracket will be close... but you may want to look in to a short mid conversi0on to ease the stresses placed on the transom due to high center of gravity

I have a 1973. 16ft outboard mount Raysoncraft. I used a TH Highjacker mounted as high as possible and have the jack plate about 3/4 to the top to mount my 1975 Mercury 150 inline Six. I had it mounted in the lower holes but could not get the motor high enough. Now I also had to add 1/2" wedge to get the motor to trim low enough to get the bow down. It is still a work in progress, but I have never had a nicer ski even behind much more $$ boats. I have an original sale flyer scan if you'd like to see it, send me your email address.

I have always loved flattys and would be a buyer if anybody has one for sale that does NOT need structural repairs.

I tried this once already, but seems to have gooten lost when I tried to add some photos. Hull is solid, 1500 powerhead is rebuilt and new waterpump.
I have about 6K Canadian into it so I think I am married to it.

Wakeboardnaked,
I have a 1983 19' Rayson Craft with a 1982 225hp merc pushing it. I purchased it from a friend's brother in-law who is the original owner. He had bought the hull and motor seperatly and had a local marine shop put it together. It has what seems to me a custom made jackplate with an offset of some 10-12" off the transome. I'll post or send you some pics time permitting.
Have you done any work on it latley?

That boat looks like my Inland Tiger Shark. Same deal, 15 inch transom. When these things were new they rigged some with twin 110 mercs. Rating was 220 hp. So, this winter I am having a 260 mid cut down, and putting on a 220 lazer efi powerhead and Bobs jack. This is strictly a ski boat now, I want the efi for idle etc. I have had mine for almost 28 years and it is an awsome ski machine with the 140 but this is something I have always wanted to do. I wonder if the Tiger Shark is a splash of a Raysoncraft. There is a picture of mine posted on the thread "flatbottom setup help needed"
I am not to good at posting pictures.
Doesn't a 20 inch motor on a 15 inch flatbottom make have a high CG?
