Break-in is done and it was time to play. I couldn't wring-er out real good because of the rough water but I got it up to 7200 rpm at 80mph before I had to get out of it. Turning a 24" chopper with 15gal. fuel load and two people on board. Motor is set 1 1/2" above the pad. Lots of pedal left.
Hey Airboater! If you read this I want you to know I'm bringing it to Alva for some flat water! I'll let you know when I can get up there.
Still have a little bit of rigging left to do like livewell pumps and lights but it's almost complete.
You guys should see the excellent rigging BL has done to this thing. :D

Duke, I sure hope so! I've been dreaming of a crossflow powered Bullet since I saw my first Bullet at Castaic Lake in Cali.

Hey Jim, I saw your motor yesterday and the porting is awsome!
Bruce is going to be posting some pics shortly, we don't have any of the boat running but maybe if Greg can go out with us he can get some good running shots.

Glad to hear ir Shawn. I hope to have my water leak fixed in my big motor for this season. I am going to try one more time after that I start robbing parts off of it to put on my stocker

What kind of problems are you having with it. I thought everything was coming together for you. I do have a set of those carbs you asked about but they need a good cleaning. I'll take $50 plus shipping if you need them.

I had it all together last year and on the first run with it I could tell something was not right. I put it on the trailer and pulled the plugs. Number 4 was being steam cleaned real bad. I could not find where it was coming from so I pulled the powerhead and put the stocker back on for the rest of the season bcause I was too pi$$ed to work on it. Now I will pull it apart and try to air test it. I have an idea it is coming in around the finger ports. They got some of them alittle too deep into the water jacket and then tried to weld/epoxy them.

What a ride, I didn't drive it but a mile, shut it off and said... "I want that motor!" It accelerates like no other motor, and sounds like no other motor. It just plain wants to GO. This is no stock crossflow, lightweight pistons, ported and stuffed to the max, the ball and chains are off this crossflow and that even fire crank makes it sound like an Indy car coming off turn 4 at the Brickyard. Keep her trimmed down and the boat drives like a dream, doesn't seem stick to the water at all.
It's basically the same motor that I had at Rumble 03 except that the rpm band has been shifted up about 6-700rpm. And with a bit less compression. Only 130-140psi, nice street gas motor actually. I think there was a thread on some of the internals, maybe we can dig that up.
Here are some pics....

That is the cleanest crossflow instalation I have ever seen. The hoses hide everything.
The detail on the instalation is awesome. Bruce, when you get a chance post a couple pics of the install.

did you find fittings for the rigging hose at the pan or is the hose just up against the pan?

Custom made fittings by BL marine!

Here are some pics of the custom rigging. Many of the parts were fabricated from scratch, hose collets into the cowl, battery box, shifter brackets and more. Not your average boat so above average rigging was a must have :)
