Tom, I don't know if we are going to make this one or not. The best way to go is take H.Y. 60 east past Lake Whales to boy Scout Rd. turn left, go to where road ends--aprox 2-3 miles--turn right, go to where road ends you are at Camp Mack. When you put in, follow canal to the left until you get to the river--aprox 400 yards go left look for everyone under the large oak trees on the right side of the river. I'll let you know if we decide to go.

Corona Mike
02-09-2005, 09:33 PM
From the turnpike, take the Yeehaw Junction exit to H.Y.60 go west to Boy Scout Rd.--aprox 18 miles--turn right go to where road ends{at crossroad} turn right go until road ends--at Camp Mack--After you launch, head left in cannal, then left in river aprox. 3/4 mile where large oak trees are on right bank. Look for HydraStream/STV/Bullet/etc.

hey guys, i'm comming all the way from the keys, can we get a head count? :D
AwesomeBullet
02-10-2005, 10:11 PM
A head count with this group? That's like asking Bush for a straight answer... :D
I should be there...didn't go to my tournie, and I have a co-worker that wants to see what boating is all about....She didn't quite understand the concept of a trailer so we shall see.... But what better way to introduce her to the world of boating than to bring her to a Kissimmee Run....Hope she can make it. Plan to launch around 10 or so at Lake Cypress. Then run down to the big tree...Should be there by 10:30....

Also what time should we be at the boat ramp.
AwesomeBullet
02-12-2005, 01:37 PM
I'm launching at a different ramp, the ramp you guys are launching at is less than five minutes from the hangout.....I am launching up on Lake Cypress (30 minute drive versus 2.5hrs by truck for me to the ramp you're going to). I plan on being on the water around 10am, being at either the tree or the bridge by 10:30. BigD and some others will probably be out sonner than that. When you launch, you will see the canal goes two directions, one back towards the way you came in, and the other going north. Head to the north channel. When it exits into the main canal (you'll know when you see bassboats whizing past at WOT), take off and head left about 1/2 mile. Just before the canal opens up into the lake there is a big oak tree and barbed wire fence on the right. If we are there you can't miss the stv's, hydrostream, bullet, ally's, etc...If we aer not there, the other spot is back behind you. Turn around, head south about a mile to the bridge that crosses the canal. Directly on the south side of the bridge is a nice beach on your right side. That is the other hangout spot....As for running, it is completely up to you. A lot of times we'll cruise the river for a while, the canal where we park is perfect for doing passes while we are on the beach....Just watch out for the big boats...

We had an awesome turnout! Always great to get new blood initiated on the river....As always with Kissimmee, it was a terriffic day to run and play....Also the best of days when everyone makes it back to the trailer under their own power... :D It's not often you see Lake Kissimmee that smooth, those of you Gator boyz that decided not to come out missed some fun times. We'll hafta get together again down there soon. Even though I am not one of the fastest, it sure is nice to see these sharp rigs running right alongside. There's just something about the looks of those tunnels when they are cruisin.

 not the fastest, bullet was running WOT the hole lake. This was a great ride and will do this agian real soon, lunch on the water, airboats on land, and fast bassboat running WOT and some STVs with a lot of open water in front of them. Also the best part of the trip was the locks. Thanks for a great day and see you guys soon.PS sid and roy, when we were going to the locks from lunch you guys came around that turn  if l had a video camara so you guys can see what we saw, you guys were flying. Also got some pics.
