Motion is king! Ask Espen about it. He runs his boat all the time (when he is not repairing the 2,5s....) :D :D
PS. I am sending Greg a video with that boat in tomorrow, and if he put it here on S&F, you can see for your self!
Have a nice day!

I have been racing a 30 foot motion offshore for 10 years. We then moved up to a 35 in Modified then Supercat. The boat structurally is very sound. the finish...not a skater. One of the original owners of Motion was Jay P who now makes the Spectre. The deeper tunnel will give you a much better ride than your previous ride. Expect 95-100 mph. a 30' actually goes faster than a 25' (with 2.5's) due to increased tunnel

No, I never had a Vector. I think you might be thinking of Dan, he's from Mystic Island where my summer home is.
I'm picking my new boat up this Saturday. It's in my avitar, (a 24 Skater).
Doug is one of my best friends. He bought your Sanger from an old friend of mine out of Mystic Islands. Looks like you did a nice job redoing it. You will like a Motion much better though.
If you are interested I'll dig them up, I have some pics I took of your Sanger before you owned it.

Ok, no, it wasn't Dan, that was me, I had a 21 Skater, sold it and bought a Hydrostream Virage (not Vector) for 1 season while making some investments now I'm moving up to the 24 Skater
Is the motion you are buying the all white one Krazycat or something like that has it posted? (It has some green trim, and it used to have green striping on the side)
That has changed hands a couple time recently, make sure you check it out good before you buy, it has been for sale for a while.

Godspeed the boat can handle anything you throw at it. I have a 24 Skater and it will handle the same chop a 30 foot vee can handle. Now your body is a diferent question

I have to laugh when I see this stuff. First let me say I love cats. I have raced my 30' motion then a 35' motion in the APBA offshore circuit for years. On a day when the seas are less than 3' we run hard, no problem. If the seas are 3' or more, we get passed by the A class boats which are 25-30' single engine inboards running 75 mph. Once you move to an inboard cat, all bets are off. The extra weight (and obviously length) lets you run fast in significant seas. I have seen more than my fair share of outboard cats stuff in 3 - 4 foot seas. NO THEY WON'T run with a 30' v hull in anything 3' or over unless you have deep pockets and a desire to get hurt. I think the big problem is allot of folks misjudge what a 3' wave looks like! The problem with a 3' wave is the 3' hole behind it. jump the wave, trip on the transom and stuff. (can we say ouch!)
