2-stroke future?

II guess I'm not exactly sure what is going on next year. Is 2006 the end of 2-stroke outboards, or do they just need to pass new emissions laws? Will even the Consumer Hi-perf motors such as the 300x Promax and 225 Promax be discontinued due to the 2006 law?
