Skip,
I was wondering if there is a Rev limiter on this motor and if so where and what is it. Is it in the packs, switchbox, or......? Also I needed to know what mods that are done to it?
I know the exhaust chest was shaved and the block was ported. The turner is a 260 tuner I think. The 2 inch spacer on the carbs. But what else was done to this one??
I am thinking about the different options I may have to get the Talon over 100mph.
If you want you can always PM this stuff if you want to keep the secret under wraps ;) :D

David me and Johnboy had a long discussion about your question. We came up with the only rev limiter on your motor is your boat ( ITS TOO DAMN BIG ) :D

I am thinking about the different options I may have to get the Talon over 100mph NITROUS :D
when i bought the block i was told the exhaust ports were raised but i never checked them with a port map, the chest is cut, dual stage reeds, aluminum flywheel and thats it, your basically stock, no rev limiter
the talon lokks bulky but not really much heavier (if it is) than most tunnell boats with standard glass layups, the light layup boats are of course way lighter than the talon, that boats speeds suprised alot of people when i had it, they thought it was an 80 mph hull
if your up to 98 with it i would think theres got to be a prop out there that would get it over 100, my next step with props was to try a good 32 pitch, youll lose any holeshot ya got but the speed should raise and the rpm's either will stay the same or be lower on top end
if ya can get the motor up another 1/4 inch that would help but i think thats all thats left for travel in the jackplate i had on it
a good stock 260 powerhead would probably do it but not as reliable as a good steel bore motor ;) which reminds me i wanted to get a steel bore block done by john marles (us-1) but never got around to it, he can get some power outa them steel bores :D

Hey David i think your boat rocks just the way it is but if you want to do anymore mods to it count me and Johnboy in. We can also do another Lake Seminole thing changing props and see what that does.BTW what prop are you running now ? Just had another thought. Let Tuesday run it she's small and light enough to make up the couple of mph difference :D
