2005 Opti 225

Does anyone know if the current model('05) 225 Optimax comes with dual water pickups. The brochure says that 3.0 liter optis have standard and low water pick ups. The dealer told me no, then said he would have to check. Its on the Optimax Technology page of the full line '05 brochure. Thanks for your help.

All of the three litre Optimax engines with the stock production case should have the dual pickups. Only the Sportmaster is different.

MY 225 opti came with dual water pick-ups .I still had to fill the top 4 or 5 holes that are on the sides as I was sucking in air thru them with the motor raised

check the 2.5xs opti with sportmaster. full low water pu and heavy duty lower unit. plus good fuel economy. see bass ans walleye mag this month for review. my 200xs can do over 6.5 mpg and the 2.5 should be close.
