Take a guess. Okay, I'll give you a hint....starts with a B
Not much of a beer guy, but Molson Canadian is good. Molson XXX (7.3%) not as yummy but packs a punch.
If you're going to drink spiced rum, you want to get Captian Morgan PRIVATE STOCK. It's MUCH better than the original stuff, darker, more spice, more flavor, more alcohol, very YUMMY. $20 a fifth, and worth every penny. :D
Rum and Coke: That's a frozen bottle of Private Stock in my right hand, and a glass of Coke or Pepsi in my left hand. Right, Left, right, left,....
My list of beers
1. FREE COLD BEER
2. Michelob Light
3. Bud
4. Miller Light
Pyro I agree with you completely, NOTHING in rum is any better than Capt. Morgan Private Stock. I got a bottle in the freezer right now. It is hard to find in Kentucky but it sure is great.

What's Rumple Minze?
Rumple Minze is a 100 proof schnapps made in Canada from an old German recipe. I don't normally do shots but about a year ago I beat one of our local hot shot pool players at his bar and he bought me one. Tasted pretty good and I have one every now and then. Best served very cold. BTW You don't want too many of these things at one sitting.

I've had a couple varieties of the dogfish. Some where real good some..not so good. It's tough to find but you can usually pick it up at specailty shops. The huge liqour stores usually carry it. I can't remember the name now but there's a huge wine/beer/liquor shop in Lauderdale that carries just about every beer, including all the dogfish flavors. I think it's Total wine and spirits.

so.....i put natty ice, or old milwakees best and it started to work, they didnt like it so they....didnt drink it and said i dont like this, i said well when i can write you off as A DEPENDANT I WILL BUY WHAT YOU LIKE
i settled on natural light, they didnt like it but i did and for 7 bucks a 12 it kinda stuck :)

yes but I hate the overly bitter hoppiness that some of them have. a good IPA will be balanced so the strong hops comes out but doesn't have that hard bite. I don't really have a favorite, all of them have their own good and bad attributes.

You haven't had beer until you've been to Germany. They have a never-ending variety of smooth, rich happiness in a glass. Gives me wicked beer farts though. Also have to be careful how you order, don't ask for an Altesbier unless you are in Dusseldorf (learned that the hard way).
State-side my favorite so far is Belhaven Scottish Ale. There's also a local brew 11-Ale (tap is an eleven billiards ball) that is pretty good.

If im going to flat out drink beer I used to be a die hard Miller Lite guy. They got bought out. Didn't bother me until Budweiser got bought out. Pretty much Old Style now. $13 for a 30 pack.
Just for sitting around and having a couple, if you can get it, Boulavard Brewing Unfiltered Wheat is my favorite. Out of KC and one of the best beers I have had. Pour 1/2 in a pint glass, swish the bottle and pour the rest in.

You get the beer farts because over there, they don't filter out the yeast like the manufacturers over here do. When I bottle my beer, I start a siphon on the bottom of the carboy and avoid sucking up any residual yeast on the bottom. Once it's in the bottling bucket I stir in some corn sugar to prime the leftover yeast and the bottle the beer. Usually yields about 4-5 gallons. The leftover yeast in the beer feed on the priming sugar and create natural carbonation in the bottle in about 2 weeks. First beer I crack open I pour into a graduated cylinder and use a hygrometer to check the specific gravity which is compared to the gravity of the wort before it went into the fermenter and that tells you the alcohol content. Brewing is awesome and is rewarding when you can sit down and enjoy it. Plus it's cool having people want you to brew some for them. I only wish I had more room and bigger fermenters. Right now alls I got is a deepfreezer set on a analog thermistat that can run 2 fermenters at one time.
And speaking about Germany.... please tell me you've seen the movie Beerfest

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it or even knew about it but back in the late 70's to early 80's then president carter had a brother that was an alcoholic.A beer was named after him called billy beer.Don't know how it taste but it was supposedly cheap from what i heard.A bud of mine still has a case of it he bought as a collectors item.back then a case of beer was about 5-6 bucs,i'm sure he can get much more than that now.

In the mid 80's our local beer distributor sold a special kind of beer. The name of it was BEER. It came in a plain cardboard box with the letters B E E R. It was $5 a case, so for $20 I would load up four cases at a time.
I got tired of my friends coming over to my house and wiping me out of the good stuff. So they got the generic stuff. They laughed their azz off at first but they still drank it. Actually as I recall, it wasn't bad either.
I have to say the best beer I ever had Sam Adams 16 pound ale. You could only get it on draft at the Sam Adams brew pub. Fantastic!

Jim, If you ever get up this way you need to check out a small restaurant chain called Taco Mac.
They have your DogfishHead 90 and 120 min on tap at most locations. The beer menu is bigger than the food menu. They have a "Passport Club" that rewards you with Taco Mac swag for trying different beers. I've made it to the first t-shirt and slowly but diligently working my way up the ladder. It's way more fun than collecting frequent flier miles. Then again, there's a striking similarity yes?
The Sweetwater Brewing Company is in ATL as well. I'm a fan of Sweetwater 420.
Has anyone outside of NC seen or heard of Red Oak? It's brewed in Greensboro, NC and it's pretty darn good.
Sam Adams Boston Ale can be found at UNO restaurants disguised as UNO Ale or at newly revamped Smokey Bones establishments as the house brew. I think it's called Bones Brew or something equally corny.

So many places around here have started catering to the craft beer market now, I can't even keep track of what I'm trying and liking. There's places I go to over and over and try different stuff every time and still never have the same beer twice. It can get a little pricey but when you consider the alcohol content of one of those beers is double a Bud, it makes paying $7.00 for a 16 oz draft worth it.
