When I bought my 21' starflight last fall,I noticed that it took two guy's to drag it up on the beach.I also noticed it would not lift the bow in "flight".In a conversation with another starflight owner,he recomended I check for water soaked flotation foam in the bow. What I found was a glassed in compartment in the bow,and the foam was fully saturated with water.About two hour's later, with the use of a hand saw,and a lot of curseing,I had over 200# of wet foam on the ground! There was no top to the compartment, and I suspect my "mate" sat outside in the rain a lot,and over the years it just fill'd up from leakage around the bow light.Or maby it went down once.Who knows, anyway, now the bow is much lighter. If you owne a starflight, and you think it is nose heavy,I suggest you investigate the flotation compartment.I drilled a 3/4" hole near the bottom, and it was like hitting a water main!
