It hasn't been cranked in about a year, and the tail pipe on the left side still has that annoyin' rattle, and it's runnin' warm, probably from sittin', but it sho' wuz fun to ride in somthin' old. Maybe I can find some motivation to get back started on some cars now.

so how did the motorhome handle the curves when you took it out today? :D

Not too good. The motorhome's probably more neglected than the cars. We've taken it on a total of 3 trips in the year we've had it. I'm thinkin' I just ain't a motorhomer. It may be lookin' for a new home.

And if ya go to the races, make sure ya keep that camper away from Greg

where do you get all that money?????

Jay, about 90% of my cars and old boat stuff I bought when it was cheap. I've had the red Corvette in this thread for about 20 years. When you buy a little stuff along for a lotta years it just piles up on you if you're a packrat and don't ever get around to sellin' any of it.

is that the one with a trunk? 62 or 3??? i'm a novice at spotting the old ones and telling the exact year. lets see some more! Merry Christmas Norris. fun out, now that i look again, i'm guessing 58, :confused:in 77 i almost bought one of those with a hardtop in rough condition for 3500. but i went out to sea instead to seek my fortune. fun bummin :(

Thanks Fish. I bought it from storage from the second owner in the early 80's. It's never been damaged, but still not done to the point that I'm afraid to drive it. I basically put real nice paint and repro interior in it, then didn't worry about all the details that make em trailer queens and too risky to ride in.

Fun, it's a 60. I've also got a 59 that'll be just like it if I ever do it, but I probably will do it to show quality. The 58 through 60's are virtually identical with only minor cosmetic differences.

my mom likes those 1st gen vettes in the red/white top, but she settled for a 90 in the same color for reliability and price reasons.

Driveability too. The old ones really don't do anything well and are uncomfortable, but they look cool. I can't imagine having one for daily transportation, even back then. They've come a long way with the new stuff.

That looks great Raceman, both the Vette and the MH.
You know you could run it a little like this guy:

P.S. I'm gettin' worried about you, that concrete's looking a little neglected!

"that concrete's looking a little neglected!"

Hahaha, that's actually my son's house where I keep the ole' bus and several cars. His concrete looks REAL good compared to most of mine. I've got holes instead of cracks. It's just hard to get excited about spendin' money on concrete when there's always another old car or boat part that needs buyin'.:D <!-- / message --><!-- attachments -->

Gourgous car Raceman. I guess that is another one of old cars that is stored somewhere. Nice MH too.
