Hello Greg,

Have you seen the Nikon 8800. I am under the impression it is a new model. Is that correct? It looks pretty cool, a little pricy when compared to the 5700, but it looks to me like the 5700 may be discontinued. What do you think??

comparing the 5700 to th 8800 there is a 50% reduction in the shutter lag. shutter lag on digital cameras can make or brake the camera. the 8800 at .5 sec lag is very good and that would be worth the extra $ alone. try both camera on a moving object and you'll is what i mean.
