I have a stock xr6 any advantage to going with a thinner gasket i am looking for about 200 more rpms not much for you race guys i know but who better to ask.

the thin gaskets should sho U 10#'s of compression...any increase in compression will sho an improvement...it probablly won't show U the 200 rpm gain U lookin for, but it will also help U on the bottom end and midrange...Several small changes will eventually add up az big change, no matter how small it iz...REX:cool:

What kind of rig? Setup is usually worth more in terms of performance than a lot of motor mods. Props, setback, motor height, balance, running surface prep, all can have a large effect on how efficiently you can use the power you have now. Venting or louvering the cowl, plastic reeds, optimizing the jetting and timing, exhaust relief, any of these could get you 200 rpms. Post more about the rig, and you'll get more suggestions than you know what to do with. :cool:
