I think they need more points for winning. Back in the Paleozoic era in F1 (when there was passing) they didn't even count all the races. The points were 10,6, etc. Winning isn't everything, its the only thing. The guy who wins the most races should win the championship.

I'd rather see the champion with 5 wins and 5 dnf than with 10 X 3rd place.

Its hard to argue with success though. The NASCAR guys seem to know what they are doing. The new system seems to have generated more ink in the paper.

What they really need is some competion for Nascar like another orgination.Nascar is getting to big for their pants with all the new rules,fines, cant say this or that too many new tracks are shutting down the good old tracks that started this sport.Boating has been looking better on sundays instead of watching the races.

Funny, I really like the chase for the championship. Most other sports have "playoffs" and I have found it very exciting.

Y'all need to understand Nascar Cup racing is a combination of racing and entertainment sports.
With the way Nascar manipulates the rules and cautions to effect Championship and Race outcomes it ain't real racing period.:p
