It's on the second page ...but anyway...add stabilizer to the fuel. Run the motor andf then spray fogger through the horn. Sometimes it will stall if not shut it down and then spray fogger into each cylinder. That's it.

'Faster, you should be doing all of those things 2 or 3 times per season. It's called regular maintenance. In the deleted post, I was simply defending Fly's response, since you seemed to pointing a big, laughing finger at him, despite being incorrect. I was trying to help.
You deleted your post, I deleted mine. Bygones.
I winterized my '89 200 EFI yesterday, as a matter of fact, here's how I did mine:
(Fittings were greased and lower unit lube changed a month ago, only 1/2 hour of use since then)
Added stabilizer.
Added extra oil, bringing final ratio to approx 30:1.
Removed separator, dumped out, primed bulb to flush out fuel line and prime extra oiled and stabilized fuel.
Disassembled and checked final fuel filter, still looks clean.
Re-primed with bulb.
Lowered nosecone into wheelbarrow full of water, started up and ran for 10 minutes (love that sound.)
Gave it a kiss, and put the cover back on.

Chad,
the only thing I think you missed in your procedure is changing the lower unit oil. Tell me if I am wrong, but even though you change it during the season, you still need to make this one last change.
What if, you now have water in there and it freezes? I know only 1/2 hour of use, but.......
And for the record, back in 1978, I was running my first Hydrostream. They were new back then. It was a blue metal flake, 17 foot, a Vector I think? had a piece of krap Chrylser 140 on it. Chrylser, the worst outboard ever. damn I'm an old fart!!!

cheers pyro
i already run my bridgeport at 33:1 so do you think that oil ratio should be alright for winterising without adding anymore?
cheers

Aslo make sure when you spray storage seal in... don't just spray straight in through the liitle butterfly hole ...I know its tuff but also spray up to the upper reeds so the top bearing will get coated and spray down to the lower reeds too.
My Dealer also suggested to dump a whole can in, if you can...I could dump about 3 quarters in before the aeresol would run down.
The engine would not stall...but when it would sputter.... I would just hold back for a few seconds then start fogging again.
A steady stream of white smoke coming out the exhaust is a good indication that your getting good seal into the motor
Storage seal is cheap...top bearings are not
