Help, does anyone know the merc part number for h20 pump kit with the large 3/4 inch housing? The last kit I got had the small housing and I used the impeller but I would like to get the large one for next time as my motor is set up for this. I need the complete kit not just the impeller. Thank you.

I don't have the part number for that kit, but it should be available at Mercury's parts express. It costs about 4 times as much as the small one.

If you compare the two top housings, you will see that with a tubing cutter and a file you can make the big housing out of the little one. The one problem is the adapter that slides onto the big housing that has the seal in it. If that is still good you should be able to convert. I have never been able to find that part for sale seperately. Look at the housing inside and out and it will be obvious what to do.

My 260 runs so cold that I have often thought the the small tube would suffice.

46-847710T WATER PUMP 1 $96.19

this is the 3/4 inch housing with the sleeve, seal and coupling no impeller!
i did what capt carb said and it works fine but it takes a little work to get the hole opened up in the small pump housing. its funny the 3/4 is so much more expensive as they both have the same part number molded on them!
hope this helps

Thanks for the info, the motor now has a modified small housing but I wanted to get a factory large one and keep my small as a spare.
