Anybody ever heard of using an emergency parachute to prevent landing upside-down?

I get a lot of the v-hull performance mags, and I think it was Hot-Boat that had an article in it where there was mention of a 100+ MPH boat that was using an emergency drag chute to keep the boat from ending up upside down in the water in the event of a blow-over. I have never heard of this before - anyone here know about it?
