Take a OMC V6 235 hp crossflow 1978-79 block, bore size 3.500"/std pistons, and bore it out to fit 3.625"/ std pistons, sleeve walls would be very thin, but it's ported big time. Can it be done? ~tr~

It has been successfully done with all the 3.5 inch bores and some guys resleeve all the cylinders with thick sleeves then bore. A cheaters trick with the v-4 when the ci limit was under 100 ci.

Don't know if I'm going to try it, it's 30 over now and got some deep grooves in one of the sleeves. I'm going to try 44 over first.

You can just put in a new sleeve.......They're very inexpensive

About $30.00

Wiseco makes .064 oversize. I don't think you can bore it .125 over.
