I'm not ready to take my block there, yet. I still need to get the pistons and a sleeve. I'm looking for a machine shop around the Chain area who can bore, hone, and re-sleeve an OMC V-4. This is not a racing engine. Just looking for someone who deals with outboards and has positive experience doing this kind of job.
What would the cost be around? 2 cyl honed, 1 resleeved, 1 overbore.
Thanks
Ben

You are not very far from Jim Ruck in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

You could check with Bill Gohr, regular poster on here. He's up by the Chain.

Yeah, I read a lot of his posts. He's from Lake Villa I think. I'm in Elgin now but I'm originally from Ingleside & do boating there. Didn't know he had a shop.

Gohr is just off Rte 59. Close to or in Lake Villa. He works out of his home. I don't know what he does about boring but could steer you. He builds my brothers race motors which occasionally need sleeving, etc. Gohr might even be at Kaptain Kirk's End of the Year Run in McHenry. You're in my old neck of the woods. I moved over here two years ago from St. Charles.

As the Amigo racing team says...
Just send it up to jim ruck. If you want it put together Gohr would be a great choice.. After all. Bill has Jim do all his machine work anyway...

He's about 2 hours from you. Drive it up and meet him while you are at it. Jim's the man.
