When carbs from a non-fingerported stock motor are put on a fingerported engine (both stock), do the jets need to be changed?
Thanks
Bryan:)

Juss go up one jet size(.002) juss for safety sake...If it iz a lil rich on top, then jet back down...If it's a non fingerported 14 peddle motor, it may, MAY need a lil mo fuel...ever mota iz different...The number carbs(wh-22,wh-15etc) will carry diffrent size jets, but not because ov motor needz, because ov the curketry ov da carbz...WHEN IN DOUBT....RICH'IN IT UP!!!!!!!!!
Change'in jetz iz a lot easier, and cheeper than change'in pistonz and sleeves...REX:cool:

The motor is a 2.4 liter 200
The carbs are wh-20 I am running .0785's and .080 jets. Right now Im working on the idle jets/timing. It is very rich with .052 jets. Going to .056. The engine runs good on bottom and great in mid and WOT. The heads have be bp'd to 33cc for 150lbs comp. The fuel use is not much worse the the wh-46's originally on the motor, but the plugs are showing fairly rich on top original jets in the 20's were .072 and .074
Thank Rex and everyone for your help
