Exhaust plate?

Has anybody ever see a two piece exhaust plate with a hose fitting on the portside...:rolleyes: If yes... where does the hose go to? or is it just a dump?

The hose is a dump into the base plate, and is connected to the thermostat hose on the port head via a T-fitting. The other side of the T-fitting dumps excess water through a cowl fiting.
