what is the most hours anyone heard of on one of these?and what kind of failures have there been?

Talked to a guy at the Lake of the ozarks and had 280hrs on his 300's with no problems. He ran a 28 skater

I've heard of guys with them on fishing boats with 700-800 hours.

Talked to Mercury racing last year, that was one of my questions to them. They said 700 to 900 hours was possible as long as you don't dog S$&t out of it.:D Chuck.

what kind of claims are those hours based off of? Not touching the motor other than maint? Or Rings and Pistons every 200hours?

Alaskastreamin told me of a couple of problems that they are having up there when they are put on heavy boats and get lugged on the up side of the swell.

That was doing reg. maintance, not going into the engine!!! Chuck.
