hey guys..
i got this block its a chorme bore block.. with the exaust ports champherd and chromed over (like a modvp as im told) it had a cross drilled intake, 10peddal front half with glass reeds.
the # is 858-8631 i just was wondering if its a modvp or just a stock 200 someone fooled with..
the pistons were 766-8381 or 766-8382

NOT LIKELY. THE PRODUCTION DIE CAST BLOCKS ARE VERY SMOOTH, WHILE THE SAND CAST BLOCKS HAVE SORT OF A GRAINY APPEARANCE. I NEVER HAD THE REEDS OUT OF MINE, BUT THE CARBS HAVE BAFFLES AND AN EXTRA SET OF TUBES THAT RUN TO THE TOP ON THE MOD VP.

according to my service manual the mod vp should have a serial number starting with ob then 6 more digits. i think mine had at least 2 on the block and heads. let me know what you find. i brought my service manual with me to work today.
