I just bought another Vector this week, and rigged it out with my little 135 Johnrude. This boat has had a bottom "blueprint", and has a flat pad. Put my 6" Bob's Hyd. jackplate on it. Did my first run tonite about 10:30pm. Can you say DARK? After a little getting aquainted, I was turning a 24 Raker at 7000 rpms straight as a pin, with pedal left. (No speedo, No GPS). I sure wish I knew how fast that was :-)

I guessed on gear ratio ( 2.25/1 in the '200 catalog). At 7K w/10% slip equals 66.3 MPH's. Very suspicious of my gear ratio guess??
Did the bow float with the straight pad???
10:30 at night!!!!!
I thought I wanted a boat ride!

Sounds like a nice runner.

I think the proper gear ratio is 1.92:1
I may be wrong

I dont know about the 24 Raker but the 26,28,and30 pitch figure out to be (techniclly speakin)28,30 and 32 pitch.I calculate an impossible 3%slip with mine. Many others have had the same results (archive Kingpins post).Without calculating the numbers,You is Cookin!

I ran a 28p thinned and balanced merc chopper, with a stock merc.2.4 200hp it would run 84, with me, or a boat load of five BIG people. The extra weight, just made the boat more stable, at the same top end...Weight was not a factor, for top end!! I cant wait too see what it will do with my new 2.5 shorty hanging off the back!! I reinforced my transom, today!!! Bring it on Galveston Bay!! P/C
