has the bridgeport 2.4v6 efi and the merc xr2 got the same or different gear ratio's?

which XR2?

the fishing motor? nope, it has 2:1
the race motor? yes, 1.87

never seen a 2.1 ,xr2. could have made them. the xr4's were 2.1.

Think the xr-4 I had had 1.78 gears in it. Maybe wrong but if memory serves me that is what they were.

dynobo is correct about xr4 ratio. All 150 xr2's came with 2.00:1 ratio, I don't know about the race xr2.

the xr6 was offered with 1.87 being popular, 1.78 and the 2.00:1 as well as many motors.

i had replied to a posting about an xr2 with 2.00:1 an i can say, i have not seen one, i haven't . they were produced for high altitude as well as anyone who wanted it.and surely the xr4 was offered with options.living at 430m.s.l. high altitude doesn't cross my mind. any how we all are right.

XR6 was available in some years with 1.78 pr 1.87 and some years with 1.87 only.

I think the XR2 race was for a class of racing in Europe.

I've had my XR4 since 1993. It is a lot faster now that I've changed the boat:)
