approx what difference better or worse would a 26" pitch cleaver prop have over a 24" pitch chopper prop on a merc bridgeport 2.4 v6 efi?

Like Rock said - it depends on the boat and setup. As a general rule, round ear (Chopper type) propellers will provide more bow lift and can carry loads better. A cleaver-style propeller will provide more stern lift and is better suited to top speeds in applications that require it.
