I have a 225 pro max 97.When i get it up on the step at about 4200 and over the buzzer comes on,I slow down for just a few and it goes off then it will do it again when i get up.new water pump doesnt have any thermostat.the water coming out the pee hole is hot when the buzzer comes on.the motor has a cone lower unit.

Can anyone give me a idea on what to look for?

first thing you need too do is go buy a temp guage.this way you know where the motor is at, at all times. the pisser should never be hot but warm.did you put a new housing and impeller for water pump? could be a poopet valve. ive seen seaweed get caught up in the lower unit and start to restict the water flow.

Why did you take the t-stats out ? It is probably your problem right there. Put some back in and try it .

You may be moving the water through the block too fast. If you don't have thermostats handy, try slowing the water moving through the block with a 5/16" washer in place of the thermostat.
