That's great but people should be aware of potential 'problems' that SP2 may give them. Unless you know your way around computers blindly updating can bring some supprises. The bigest 'gotcha' is MS enabeling the internal firewall by default.

SP2 has wreaked havoc so far from what I have personally seen (in the workplace only) ain't installed it at home, afeared to:eek:

I installed it on all of my machines and have never had one single problem. I think security is the most important issue, so I thought this upgrade was important.

well, like I said, in a "business enviornment" that has to access data bases through Citrix, Siebel, Oracle & the like, we have had bad results, in a home enviornment I really don't know

I have XP home and have installed SP2. Haven't had any problems at all and a computer guru I am not. Have had this thing less than a year.

I just installed a sp for my 2k pro, really wish I had of made a backup before I did! In normal (non safe mode) I can't access anything, clicking on anything leads to "Explorer has generated an error, YADDA YADDA YADDA" Its damn annoying. Then I read on windows site that ie 6 might be the problem. So I think ok, I'll just go back to 5.5. Well guess what? They took it off of their site for download!? Really getting sick of windows "I can do anything cause I own a monopoly"

You should be using Firebird "mozilla" or Advant browser. They are free.
I.E is the worst browser and the most vulnerable and by far the most picked on "hacked"
