Mark Major and Gregg Gryguc were neck and neck this whole race.
Just to give you a clue as to how precise these guys are, check out these 3 shots from 3 different laps throughout the race!

I was speechless!

Are the races gonna return next year? If they do I'll have to keep that weekend free.

We have two sure races next year Bellwood & woodstock. We might have a couple in ottawa just for formula V I say we all sell the V's & buy tunnels & go run the Apr superleague

Oh yeh if any body is interested in chritchfields contact me I think we have enough people to pop out a mould.4 different people oprouched Peter Stelter at the races asking about my paint job & if we build the boat's. I want to try & start a mini GT class here in Canada critchies with 25 hp or mini tunnels with 25 hp because I think our Formula V class is going to cell's next year that means all the boats now will have to have cell's installed $2,000 to $3,000 almost the cost of a new boat.

What about roll cages? I'm with you on the cell thing, it kinda takes away the appeal of formula v being cost effective.

critchfield mike

you got that right it will be much more costly. The cage would probably work but it is ugly as hell
here's a pic of a ally with a cage!

it comes down to safty guys.. first you guys shouldnt be running without cells or cages as far as APBA rules are how do you guys get aaway with out them...2 a cage dont have to be bulky or ugly ill post pics of mine that is in my vixen its slim light and nice...unless canada's rules are differnt you should have one or the other..i would never get into a formula-v boat with out one somone go's over the top of ya your screwed...apba has had the cage or cell rule for years so you guys need to read your rule books thats all im saying....

I agree but they need participation. No ones gonna go outta their way to install a cell or cage if it dies again. Lets see some pics of that vixen!

My last conversations with Steve Attard, he informed me that the Woodstock race was a no go..... as it stands now, Barrie for the may 2/4 and Bellwood in September, no date as of yet, hopefully it won't conflict with a champboat race that month.

Last week at the CBF meeting I had expressed that I'd like to see the formula V classs run with the stock out board guy's for the season, our class falls under their insurance policy , and it would make for a great show as well....

Looking forward to seeing more boats for this season.... Mart

that is one ugly cage on that boat. the cage look is awful, the cell not so bad. and i realize when racing its all about safetly, but i have been ripping these boats since i was 11 or 12, and have no fear of getting in one without a safety cell or a god awful cage.

As of now there will be no races for OPC in Canada..Most of the Canadians that are racing will be running the APR Superleague & Champ series in the states....
