We've been using JSRE products for years, and the quality is as good as it gets. Flywheels, flywheel pullers, and the TDC gauge - all great products! We're looking forward to getting our new JSRE spacer plate too, which is one heck of a trick piece.

Same goes for Balzy's leakdown tester. A very high quality product that we would never be without. All performance boaters should have one of those!

Jay, I have a dumb question. When working on a powerhead that is off of the midsection, do you mount the powerhead on an engine stand or just work on it on the work bench? I am looking for the mounting piece that you can mount an omc powerhead to a conventional engine stand for assembly. Before I try and make one I was just wondering if I can buy one. I saw one at the local omc shop but I dont know if it was an omc piece or aftermarket. Thanks.

You have to be taller than the bench to build it on the bench. Precision MFG in Clearwater Florida has thm for sale. 1-800-237-5947. If you can get one from Jay that's as good a deal as his puller and TDC guage, go for it. They work great.

Riverrat,

I have had the same engine assyembley stand for 15 years. It's crude but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
It is a piece of 3/8" thick carbon steel plate that is polished and has the exhaust plate pattern cut in it the deminisons are hm say 2' 6" X 3' , it is welded on a metal cold roll stand with 4 casters on the bottom and it also has a shelf 6" from the floor where a rubbermaid clear nylon container sits and it is large enough to hold the parts of a whole powerhead.....The stand alone weighs approx. 80 lbs and is VERY sturdy. I also have an overhead trolley in the assy. rm that runs the length of the 30' room........I need to weld on some small 1/2" angle iron around the paremeter to keep round tools ( sockets, extentions , screw drivers, etc... ) from falling to the floor , I've been gonna do that for 10 years ! LOL.........

Hope that helps,

eli

Jay,

The spacers come stock on ALL DRAG motors and purpose is to lengthen the runner length and create and inhance torque throughout the rpm range.

They are $200.00 for the kit ( all gaskets, bolts and hardwear included ) )for the Scream and Flier 2004 paid members all others $225.00 + freight per motor bought !

Have sold a ton of em for EFI's had'nt had a complaint yet !
