FYI this event is scheduled for Saturday Sept. 11 on Rice Lake (obviously) and is a PBCC charity event. Poker run format with prizes and such. Let us know here if you are attending.....also check your junk mail folders because carboncopied club email tends to get sent there.
**SORRY to post in gen. forum but it is lost in events section and this is a charity event for Childrens Wish Foundation and many of our club members are having a hard time finding this**
I'm hoping Anthony will pick up from here and fill in the particulars.
If your a current/newbie club member you should plan on attending this....we need you here. Who care's if there is a wee spot of rain, 2-3 inch chop, boat or no boat....hitch a ride! JUST SHOW UP!
P.S MY company is donating $100 bucks towards this charity and if we can get 10 more confirmed boats for this event I will make my donation $500.

I won't be running it cause my old girl likely won't take the pounding but I am planning on being there with the boat. Hope to see a few of you smaller boat guys there. Rich I will likely be heading up fri nite to friends of Mike's family and will call Anthony to see how the boat rigging is going. I'll try your cell too and maybe we can hook up for some beers if you're gonna be there Fri
Cheers

I'm not going to do the run (just too far for a 1981 engine), but I'll be up there as well. I was planning on dropping in at Herb White's to see how Anthony is making out on Friday night if he's not done by then. Anyone wants to meet up give me a shout. Cathi wants me to take her kids and go out on the lake and float around when the boats come by on the way into Hastings.

RICH...
waht a great post and challenge....
Gee hate to hear about all the guys not going to boat....Chris I think you should go for it.....I am taking a huge risk on this and trusting my rig will run. The motor has not run in 3 years...anyway...my Vulture is a six seater and I'll have a little 24 pitch on 'er...so if you feel like joining us on a cruise...cause that all we are going to be doing ...step up. Yes c'mon over to Herb's on Friday nite...we will need the help....
HERB in his Venus and me in the vulture will be in the Cruiser class that day.
BTW...I got some cool prizes for you Hydrostream Fans...hope you win 'em
phone me on my cell at 905-706-0965 on friday nite or cottage at 905-352-3343....THANKS again for the post RICH;)

Anthony do you have the particulars such as start time, cost per boat/person, directions, contact# to register and anything else important.
Rampager glad you're going to show up......whether you run or not. Good on ya!
A club is only as strong as its members support....we need you guys here with or without a boat. I will be leaving Whitby area Sat. A.M if anyone needs a ride.....with a brand new guy and his super sweet Euro. I met him at a Shop and he had never heard of the PBCC...he is looking forward to seeing other HiPerf boater.

Just a quick question if I try to go for it. Can we get suitable fuel on the lake? I don't have capacity for 100 miles and must run 92-93 octane. I know Langs and Twin Cedars have 89/mid grade.
AnthonySS
09-09-2004, 10:37 AM
CHRIS....for sure we can accomodate the gas requirements. We usually gas up at Langs after Lunch , then top of the River at Willowbend.
Then we can stop at Herb's marina at the bottom of the river at Gore Landing.
Unfortuantely I know of NO premium pumps.
My STV need premium too , but I would always start full premium and blend the regular the rest of the day NEVER pushing the boat and most of us did the same and we never lost any of the 2.4 / 2.5 Hi perf motors. Just cruise with the rest of us

James and Bryan, I'm up for a tool around as well. I can't carry enough fuel to go 100 miles and I'm just too leary of running less than premium fuel and toasting my engine. Rice Lake is my home lake, so I know my way around. I was planning on maybe heading into Hastings at lunch time to check out the Poker Run boats while they are tied up.
Give me a call and we can hook up.

Also bring a Cell phone for Emergency....My Cell number on the Boat is 289-314-1416.
I will be at herb's at about 6-6:30 pm tonight....for those who want to come by...call at 905-706-0965....if you need directions after that time.

Hey Bob and Doug I could be arround Scugog tonite! Should I bring some clumping kitty litter in case you have a spill! LOL.
Andrew the poor bugger has to go to a College party with a ton of hotties he told me yesterday via email......were would you rather be!
New guy "Billy The Kid" confirmed w/me he will be there with his sweet Euro 280 package.
Still a great last minute rally of support but I guess my charitable donation cheque is gonna be for $100 bucks.....but I could lie and get $500 and buy everyone BEER...or carbonated soda for the non drinkers. ANTHONY, any est.on boats at this time.
Sean you will be missed but possitive thoughts for the wife's health.

Closest I came was floating around, watching the boats go by on the way back from Hastings at about 3:30.
Rampager was the only boat I recognised. Sat there for about 45 minutes, and I thought everyone was by, but apparently there was a second wave.
