Depending on the type of glue used, many times a heat gun and scraper will do the trick.

For God's sake, don't try doing this with a drill/wire brush. I had to quit flying for two months because of this when I tore up my elbow/forearm. Still causes me problems.
Get a four inch (at least) grinder and a brush and use the removeable handle to control the torque load. Let the brush do the work.
Any other measure will just make you old. And pissy. And sore.

Thanks Greg....Kinda like the heat gun Idea....was hoping for some kind of slovent to loosen it and then scrape it! Guess I could experiment a little......but definitely dont want to be Pissy & Sore...lol! C

Consider them active until neutralized. Point is, unchecked it could end up damaging your core/transom and then you really will be pissy/sore...at yourself.

Hunter makes a good point - some solvents can weaken fiberglass laminates over time.
