OK, so I'm sitting here thinkin', Had a few beers, and I'm seriously thinking of doin' it! I've got access to a pair of 300X's and my flamer is already set up for 20" motors. It would take 2-3 hours to swap them out, So what the hell! If it don't work, I'll switch it back. You figuer it's like having an extra couple of people in the back seat. I've got some 34" cleavers and 1.62 gearcases. At 7000 rpm, that's 139 mph with no slip. The Liberators normally run at 7% over 100 mph, so I'm figuering close to 130!
Now my new MERCMAN motors are pushing 325hp, and turn wicked R's, so that may be faster, but how cool would 300x's on a 21ft boat be! I may have to do it for the Labor Day Profiling scene. WHATCHA think?

6.0 liters, 630 hp on a 21ft Lib sounds cool to me!:D While your at it replace the 20" mids with some 15" mids:cool:
The stern should REALLY squat with the 300's;)

In the back seat is a big difference from 2 feet behind the transom. Have you pals hang on the motors and go for a ride.:D
But it sounds like fun, go for it.

You will sink to back of the boat, good luck though!
You been watching to many DARE DEVIL movies lately ,are you just trying to hurt yourself !! Remember there's allways that one little way out there that can bite you in the Ass,and they come up a lot faster at 130+++++ Be careful john You and Phil can have that 130+++++ in these small boats ,I bought back the old Hooters 30' LIGHTNING CAT this week and will pick it up next, I'll do my 130++++ under a canopie with a harness around my ASS !!

a friend of my dads put a 200merc on a 15ft allison craft and when he was taking off he had 2 people lay on the bow then once the thing planed off he had them jump off lol!! sick bastard but he died, motorcycle accident supposeably the boat did 75-80mph then he droped back too quick and the thing sank from the wake, so wildman just use a person on each sponson to get goin lol :p ;)

300's would look good, but you would definately have to get some weight forward to keep the stern above water and to be able to plane it off. Do you already have the batteries in the bow? If that doesn't get you enough, you could add a ballast tank up front. Some of the jet sprint boats up here have bow water tanks that they can fill and empty quickly.

The 300x's would work better on my Daytona but I'd probably stick with the Mercman Specials.Lighter is better on the transom but I'm thinking your thinking "I've got to try it!" See ya at the Glen.Lonnie:cool:

I think they have help groups for problems like this.
Oh wait, this is where the post is.
I say go for it. More big block v-8's have been stuffed in to small cars from people that where doing the same thing. Sitting around, drinking beer and thinking.
